Most people don't come to therapy because they don't know what to do.
They come because they're tired of understanding everything... and still feeling stuck.
You might know your anxiety is irrational, yet your body still reacts.
You might recognize your inner critic, yet it still sounds convincing.
You might have spent years reading books, listening to podcasts, and trying to "work on yourself," but find yourself returning to the same emotional place.
That isn't a lack of insight.
It's often a sign that your nervous system, relationships, and past experiences are speaking a language that insight alone cannot change.
My approach to psychotherapy isn't centred around giving advice or teaching you how to think differently. It's about helping you understand yourself in a way that changes your relationship with your emotions, your past, and the way you experience your life.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, relationship challenges, self-esteem, or major life transitions, therapy becomes a place to understand—not only what you're feeling, but why your mind and body have learned to respond this way.
Individual psychotherapy is available in English and Farsi (Persian) for adults across Ontario.
Adults often ask teenagers,
"What's wrong?"
I think a different question is more helpful.
"What has become too heavy to carry alone?"
Many adolescents are trying to make sense of emotions they've never experienced before while also navigating friendships, family expectations, school pressures, identity, social media, and the quiet fear that everyone else seems to be doing better than they are.
Not every struggle looks like sadness.
Sometimes it looks like shutting down.
Sometimes it looks like perfectionism.
Sometimes it looks like always saying, "I'm fine."
Therapy gives young people something they rarely have in their everyday lives: a place where they don't have to perform, explain themselves perfectly, or have all the answers.
Together, we explore what's happening beneath the behaviour—not to change who they are, but to help them better understand themselves and develop healthier ways of coping, connecting, and growing.
Youth and adolescent therapy is available in English and Farsi (Persian) for children, teens, and young adults across Ontario.
People often assume couples come to therapy because they're arguing too much.
In my experience, they usually come because they've stopped feeling emotionally found by each other.
They still live together.
They still talk.
Sometimes they still laugh.
But somewhere along the way, they began missing each other emotionally.
The same conversations repeat.
Small misunderstandings become larger ones.
Both partners leave feeling unheard, even when neither intended to hurt the other.
Couples therapy isn't about learning better communication scripts.
It's about understanding what each partner is protecting, longing for, and struggling to express beneath the conflict. Because when those deeper emotional conversations become possible, the relationship often begins to change in ways that advice alone cannot create.
Whether you're navigating conflict, emotional distance, trust, intimacy, cultural differences, or major life transitions, couples therapy offers a space to better understand one another and rebuild connection.
